So it's...been a while. I'm still more of a lurker than anything else. These days most of my art falls in realm of knitting (other people's patterns, not designing my own); jewellery design and creation; some photography (I really want a better camera), and the occasional bit of drawing or writing.

But this isn't just a journal update to prove that I'm not dead! I actually posted some art, and I did some basic clean-up in my gallery so it is a bit more organized. One of my goals for 2013 is to do more with my artistic interests, and that includes, y'know, showing people the results. We'll see how it goes.

So I have a definite problem updating my journal here. I still update my LiveJournal regularly, and I tend to forget about updating here.

I have not been doing a whole lot of art, at least not anything that I've really documented. I've been knitting a lot, and doing a small amount of beadwork. Writing and drawing haven't really been happening for the past many months.

Once I get things figured out a bit more fully (and get caught up on my various and sundry backlogs) I will hopefully be more active here.

My lazy and distracted streak hasn't really let up much, which is why I haven't had much new around here. Also, I still tend to update my LiveJournal more than the journal here. I still have things that need to be scanned or photographed and posted here. I also have photographs that I've taken; I got a camera a couple months ago.

What I haven't been doing a lot of is writing, and I need to change that. More specifically, I haven't been writing any stories. Journal entries about books I'm reading or shows I'm watching don't really count. Neither does roleplaying, great as it is for character development and conflict generation.

I can't say I don't have the time. I've got plenty of time that I just don't spend particularly wisely. I'm going to work on changing that now. I'm tired of being unproductive.

All right, my track record for updating this journal is completely pathetic. Lots of things have changed, and plenty of other things are no different than they were. As with last time, my Livejournal has been updated much more faithfully.

Artistically I've sort of been at a standstill. I've done some knitting, but it's all stuff that other people have designed already. Of course, that doesn't mean I can't take pictures of them--mostly I'm just lazy. I've also designed and made some jewelry that I could post. Oh, and there's new stuff in my sketchbooks that hasn't been scanned in.

Yeah, lazy and distracted wins these past few months. *sigh*
